However, our story doesn’t end with awards. LOCA’s essence is deeply embedded within our local community. With over 900 jobs created, we’ve become more than a business; we’re a lifeline for families. Among our 850 drivers, a remarkable 250 have embraced electric vehicles (EVs), embodying LOCA’s unwavering commitment to sustainability. These EVs have traveled over 1,000,000 kilometers, marking a significant step towards a cleaner, more responsible travel ecosystem.
LOCA’s dedication to greener travel extends far beyond the road; it’s ingrained in the very fabric of our nation. Currently operating 14 charging stations, we’re lighting the way for electric vehicle adoption in Laos. By June 2024, we’ll have an additional 13 stations, symbolizing our promise to create a future that’s kinder to the environment.
In the realm of environmental conservation, LOCA has made a monumental impact. By reducing oil dependency by over 350,000 liters, we’ve effectively eliminated around 600,000 kg of CO2 emissions. These figures are more than mere statistics; they embody our tangible commitment to preserving our planet for future generations.
LOCA PAY, our innovative payment solution, has also transformed the way tourists and visitors experience Laos. By linking their credit cards to LOCA PAY, they can seamlessly scan every LAO QR Code, which is widely accepted in Laos. LOCA PAY is currently supported by 15 banks that uphold the LAO QR Code standard, creating the largest QR Code payment network. LOCA PAY plays a vital role in connecting Lao SMEs to tourists worldwide, facilitating seamless transactions, and supporting local businesses.
